Preparing For The Meeting... with the V Experience!

Researching insights and backgrounds to prepare for the career meeting.

Franca Sozzani Interview

"Everyone today still wants their children to become doctors, lawyers, engineers, but what is the problem if your son wants to become a designer, or a creative? Maybe in the rest of the world it’s very different, but in Italy there is still this thing that if you say that your son wants to become a designer or an art director, they automatically think he must be gay. So what, even if it were the case? We are in 2011, who cares?" - Franca Sozzani, Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia.

I must confess that I definitely agree with Mrs Sozzani! She seems to be an amazing personality. It would be my honor to meet her on Thursday! Good luck to all of those who managed to book a meeting with her! See you all there!

And My Career In Public Relations Begins Here...

Off To Meet The Vogue Italia, (Editor In Chief) Franca Sozzani & The Times Fashion Editor, Lisa Armstrong on Wednesday the 8th June 2011!

I must say that my dream is coming true! I always longed to meet the Director of the Italian Vogue, since I worship the fashion bible (Vogue).

The Italian Vogue stands out from the rest because it's quite controversial, extremely creative, and artistic with THE TWIST! Thanks to Mrs Sozzani and her team, Vogue Italia is considered one of the 'It' or 'MUST HAVE' magazines in the world today! Even if one can't read Italian, the publication is extremely visual on its own! The Italian Vogue is not just a simple magazine, it's a Fashion Bible! A monthly collectible archive! It's always good to keep a monthly copy in our cupboards and drawers!

The Never Ending Story!

FACT (From Experiences): Usually, when we work on a project and find that it is never ending, that’s how we know that we are on the right track. We become very concentrated and dedicated to the work, and so we just carry on pursuing the project.

Outcome: 'Make A Unique Statement...Killer' (Of Dolls & Murder Viral)

'Pick Up The Keys To Your New Hobby!'

Speeches Are Unfair!

Year after year silly, sinister, shrieking teachers all over the world force students to get up in front of their classmates and give a speech about any number of topics which are basically meaningless!

Giving a presentation, I would say, is one of my childhood traumas. If I were to compare myself to someone or something, I would definitely compare myself to King George VI of United Kingdom! (The King’s Speech). I would state that my situation is worse than of King George’s VI speech problem! Once I enter the classroom, I automatically start to panic and blush red like a bright red tomato ready to explode!

I find it unfair that tutors make us get up in front of a classroom and make a speech, not allowing us to read from the script! Especially when they know that we aren’t originated from the UK and we aren’t fluent native speakers (of English). In my opinion, International and EU

students, should be given an opportunity as well!

Today, we see that Prime Ministers and VIPs, all read from a script! There are too many facts to remember. The actuality of one standing in front of one million people is not easy at all! It’s frustrating and not tranquil to concentrate! So, if they can read out from the script, why couldn’t we, students do the same? Is it a crime?
